Sankaku Gatame (Kansetsu)
Triangle armlock
Twists or stretches and locks the opponent's elbow joint by holding his neck and arm between both legs and hooking the foot on the back of the other knee while forming a triangular shape.
Katame-waza: osaekomi (pins), shime-waza (strangles), and kansetsu-waza (joint locks). Triangle armlock
Twists or stretches and locks the opponent's elbow joint by holding his neck and arm between both legs and hooking the foot on the back of the other knee while forming a triangular shape.
Entangled armlock
Twists and locks the opponent's elbow joint by grabbing his wrist with one hand and inserting the other hand to grip that wrist underneath his upper arm in a figure-four configuration.
Cross armlock
Stretches and locks the opponent's elbow joint by grabbing his right wrist with both hands and holding his upper arm between both thighs.
Arm hold lock
Stretches and locks the opponent's elbow joint with both hands by holding his wrist between the neck and right shoulder from his side.
Knee lock
Stretches and locks the opponent's elbow joint with the left knee by holding his right arm under the left armpit from the front.
Armpit lock
Stretches and locks the opponent's elbow joint by grabbing his right wrist with both hands and holding the arm under the left armpit.
Belly armlock
Stretches and locks the opponent's elbow joint by grabbing his right wrist and pressing his arm across the abdomen.
Hand lock
Stretches and locks the opponent's elbow joint by controlling his arm through the armpit to grip the far lapel while grabbing his wrist with the other hand.
Leg lock
Stretches and locks the opponent's elbow joint by hooking the right leg on his right arm from the side while he lies on his stomach.
Triangular hold (pin)
Holds down the opponent by forming a triangular lock with both legs around his neck and one arm, pinning him to the mat.

Side four-corner hold
Holds down the opponent's chest and abdomen region from his side by grabbing his belt through his legs with the right hand and gripping his collar through the back of his neck with the left hand.
Straight four-corner hold
Holds down the opponent's chest and abdomen region by lying on the stomach over him, controlling his arm and neck with both hands and holding his lower body with both legs.
Upper four-corner hold
Holds down the opponent's chest and abdomen region by gripping both sides of his belt with both hands from above his head while he lies on his back.
Shoulder hold
Holds down the opponent from his side by trapping his right arm and neck together with the right side of the neck and both arms.
Broken upper four-corner hold
Holds down the opponent's chest and abdomen region by holding his right arm from the diagonal-right side of his head and gripping the left side of his belt with the left hand.
Floating hold
Holds down the opponent's upper body with the right leg by controlling his right arm from his side while stretching the left leg backward.
Back hold
Holds down the opponent under the back region by holding his right arm with the right arm from his side and grabbing his leg with the left hand.
Chest hold
Holds down the opponent by pressing the chest directly onto his chest region while controlling his arm and head to prevent escape.
Pillow scarf hold
A variation of Kesa-gatame where the opponent's head rests on the thigh as a pillow, with the arm and shoulder controlled in a modified scarf hold.
Naked strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck without using judogi by placing the right forearm on his throat from behind and joining the left arm on it.
Sliding lapel strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck from behind by gripping his left collar through his throat with the right hand and his right lapel through the left armpit with the left hand.
Single-wing strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck from behind by gripping his left collar through his throat with the right hand and inserting the left arm through the left armpit to raise it upward.
Reverse cross strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck by crossing the wrists from the front and gripping his collars with four fingers of both hands inside while tightening the arms.
Normal cross strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck by crossing the wrists from the front with both thumbs inside his collars and pushing both hands.
Shoulder strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck by crossing the wrists with four fingers of the left hand inside the left collar and the right thumb inside the right collar, pulling the left hand and pushing the right.
One-hand strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck by gripping his right collar with the right thumb inside from his left side.
Sleeve wheel strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck from the front by placing the right forearm on his throat and the left forearm behind his neck, gripping the right cuff with the left hand.
Thrust strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck from the front by gripping his right lapel with the left hand and left lapel with the right hand while thrusting the right hand toward the right side of his neck.
Triangle strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck by holding his neck and right armpit between both legs and hooking the right foot on the back of the left knee while forming a triangular shape.
Two-hand strangle
Chokes the opponent's neck with fists from the front by gripping his left collar with the right thumb inside and the right collar with the left thumb inside.
